Welcome to our website!
The Calderdale Branch of the National Autistic Society (CNAS) offer support to people who live in the surrounding area. We support:
-
individuals who are on the autistic spectrum
-
individuals who are on the waiting list to receive a diagnosis
-
families and carers who support a person on the autistic spectrum
We are delighted that we won the NAS Branch of the Year Award in the 2017 NAS Staff and Volunteer Awards. This was only possible by the dedication of our volunteers and the rest of our CNAS community.
The Branch is run by a group of volunteers, all of whom have their own stories relating to autism and all of whom want to make a difference to the support and information available for people in and around our local area.
Whilst we are part of the National Autistic Society, we are a local branch representing the NAS and we don’t receive financial support so rely on donations. We fundraise ourselves to cover our running costs and expenses. We are always looking for local sponsorship and funding opportunities.
The branch provides peer support through our Facebook Page and opportunities to meet and take part in our different monthly activities.
If you would like to volunteer or otherwise get involved with the branch, please email the branch on the email address below....
